Jodi has entertained the troops in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on two occasions and has performed world wide at other military bases as well. She just returned in April 2006 from entertaining the troops in Iraq. Her television appearances include: Lifetime “Girls Nite Out”, America’s Funniest People, She’s So Funny and New Joke City with Robert Klein, on which she had a featured documentary. Unabashedly smart and wickedly funny, Leighann Lord’s on-stage charisma, topics and punch lines get you laughing and thinking at the same time! She’s appeared on numerous stand-up comedy shows, including NBC’s Comedy Showcase, the Metro Channel’s New Joke City with Robert Klein, Lifetime’s Girls’ Night Out, VH-1’s Stand Up Spotlight, HBO’s Def Comedy All-Star Jam, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, and ABC’s The View.
Leighann has performed internationally in Trinidad’s International Laugh Festival and in the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. In England she appeared on the BBC’s wildly popular television show Blouse and Skirt. In The Netherlands, she performed on the late night talk show Raymann is Laat. Leighann also entertained U.S. troops stationed in Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia during Operation Enduring Freedom.
For two consecutive years, Leighann was named the official comedian for Harlem Week. (The only other comedian in Harlem Week’s history to earn that distinction is Richard Pryor.) She also won The New York City Black Comedy Award for the Most Thought-Provoking Female Comic.
On the big screen, Leighann appeared in the George Lucas film Radioland Murders. On the small screen she has appeared on a host of shows including The Charlie Rose Show, Chat Zone on HBO, Comics in the Round on Comedy Central and was a commentator on PBS’s That Money Show. She can also be spotted in a Lean Cuisine Commercial.
Leighann’s theatre work includes Raft of the Medusa at NJ Rep; Theatre Dreams and The Punch and Judy Show at The Creative Acting Company. Her one woman show, The Full Swanky, debuted in The Riant Theatre Women’s Play Festival, where it was nominated for Best Play and Best Director. Leighann won the festival award for Best Actress. She was also nominated for an AUDELCO Recognition Award for Best Solo Performance.

Once Maureen Langan takes to the stage, it’s clear to see why this feisty comic was named one of the “Ten Standout Stand-ups Worth Watching” by Backstage Magazine.
Maureen regales audiences with tales of her upbringing as one of six immaculate conceptions born to Ann, an Irish immigrant and Hugh, a sanitation worker from the Bronx. Langan grew up in Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, where there is no lake.
Maureen’s previous career as a broadcaster is also fodder for her act. She refers to her former station as W-B-O-R-I-N-G. “Being a funny person in a serious newsroom is definitely a recipe for comedy …and unemployment,” says Langan.
